Ordered via Grubhub — portions were tiny, considering I spent $85 on food. Also there was a large bug in the tikka masala or the cauliflower — I only noticed after I’d started eating & things were mixed together on the plate…
Extremely disappointed in what has happened to the food and service here.
This used to be a go-to spot for us, and it has slowly declined over the last couple of years.
Tonight was the worst and likely the last time.
I ordered for pickup, walking distance only 2-3 minutes. First red flag, the food was ready in 10 minutes from order time. When getting home, I realized why it was ready so far. The sauce was separating, and clearly, my food was not freshly cooked. Tasted and felt like it was microwave warmed up, and worse yet it was barely warm enough to eat. On top of that, they've raised their prices AND lessened the portion size, one or the other maybe... not both at once. It was already pricey before, now it's absurdly expensive for what you get and certainly not worth for old, microwaved food.
Highly recommend this place for Nepali food when in SF. Everything is so fresh and flavourful, quality ingredients, no colouring or excess oil. The naan was perfect. Must try the momos, Dal and Paneer.
This was such an amazing meal. My two friends and I came in for dinner last night and were promptly seated, water came quickly, and we selected our food and a minute later the waiter came. His name (I think) was Chuc. He was excellent, he brought over everything in a timely manner.
We got three entrees, all of which were amazing. We decided to be a little basic and ordered a cashew curry and a tikka masala, and one daal makhani. On top of that, we order rice and an order of the garlic naan.
Upon the food’s arrival, we barely said a word to each other because our mouths were taking everything in. It was the kind of food that makes you shut up, the kind that all you can say is either, “Mmm~” or “This is so good!” We also got a second plate of garlic naan which was a great call as it was some of the best naan we had ever had. The cashew curry had a good creaminess to it, the tikka masala was perfectly sweet with the tomatoes carrying the dish, and the daal makhani was savory and hearty.
If you need a quick bite, it will be hard because you’ll want to try everything. Come here to savor it all! I strongly recommend this place.
Great food! Loved the momos and the dhading chicken. The food felt fresh and not too oily.
Love this restaurant because the food is always so tasty, and the ambiance is perfect for gathering. One of my favorites in SF :)
Good food , good people , good atmosphere. Will go back again
Nice place and the food was unique and yummy. For those that don't know it's very Indian like in nature. The butter chicken and cashew chicken were standouts for us. I would happily go back.
